i wouldn't call this "early" funkadelic, more mid-period. it's their fifth album. the first three albums should be referred to as "early" funkadelic, as they have a style of their own. since album number four they start changing their sound, and albums 5, 6 and 7 is the mid-period, whereas everything after "let's take it to the stage" should be referred to as later funkadelic. the early period may have only lasted a year or two, but, encountering eternity on lsd, those years were packed. easily their best period. period. ps. of course this is my personal humble opinion.

fair enough,its still the first 4 years of recorded material taking into account they recorded up to or around the mid 90's
